Hi all,
A very worm welcome to you. You might be wondering what a wiered topic is this!
The whole story started like this. I still remember the day when I was roaming around in the book exhibition and I noticed the series of books on "Vedic Mathematics" in Marathi. At that time I was too young to be crazy about anything as I was not earning at that time. One day suddenly something came to my mind and I went to the market and bought all those books I had seen few years back in the exhibition.
I started doing some research on Vedic Mathematics out of curiosity. Trying to learn some short cuts for solving sums. The curiosity started increasing. Then I bought the original book on Vedic Maths by the great "Shri Bharathi Krishnatirthji". I was astonished to see the real great work in this area in the ancient time.
Side by side I started thinking of something in addition to it. Yes! it was Artificial Neural Network(ANN). I was doing my PG studies at Walchand College, Sangli. The day I got to know the power and beauty of ANN I started thinking about Vedic Maths in a different direction. I was very much upset by the statement made in the book. It stated "These methods are not supposed to replace / compete with the digital calculators!". And the thinking cycle again charged up, started looking for some ways to combine the great power of vedic mathematics & ANN. And one concept came to my mind! "Why not train the ANN to solve sums with Vedic methods!" Till date I don't know the feasibility and efficiency of the work that is going to be carried out. I have started googling on these topics and found tremendous amount of help on the topics individually, but till date there is no effort going on in the direction that I have stated above. I was surprised and happy to see that I am going to be the pioneer of this idea, though I don't know the feasibility.
But I believe, if I become successful, it will be a digi-vedic revolution in the world of computing. This is just a start... Still lot more stages to go...
Hence forth I will try to put my thoughts in this blog series till I get my own site up and going. I'll keep posting the work done till date in series, the hurdles I went through and so on...
Also I'll keep posting some of the simple and interesting methods from Vedic Maths on regular intervals.
Please keep visiting this blog spot. Please post your suggestions and comments.
